Coating Technician
LightMachinery operates a number of advanced thin-film coating chambers. The coating process is a critical step in the production of tightly toleranced optical components. Coating technicians at LightMachinery must clean optics using a very specific technique (we'll teach you), load the components carefully in the machines, and execute the coating program. With time, you will learn to design coatings and to maintain and troubleshoot the equipment. Eventually - you can expect to deal directly with customers to help them specify their requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- University science degree or a college diploma with sufficient math skills
- Strong English language skills (written and spoken)
- An excellent attitude and sense of humour. We have to work with you - so this is very important.
- Sufficient dexterity to handle small and delicate glass components
- Ability and willingness to work night shifts
