Laser Marketing Manager 

This is a permanent full time salaried position based out of our Nepean (Ottawa) Ontario Facility.  You will manage outside sales for our laser and spectrometer product lines.
- Building and managing relationships with our network of distributors
- Interacting with end-users and direct customers on technical and sales issues
- Maintaining accurate sales forecasts
- Interaction with LightMachinery production and management teams on a regular basis
- Processing samples in our applications lab and writing application reports for customers.
- Travel as required to support the sales process
- Bachelor's degree 
- Demonstrated success as a salesperson (you have to enjoy selling)
- Completely fluent in English
- Legally qualified to work in Canada
Nice to have:
- Other languages
- Degree in a related field
- Experience with Excimer or TEA CO2 lasers
- Experience with spectrometry

Optics sales engineer/project manager

Job description

This is a permanent full time position at our Nepean (Ottawa), Ontario facility.  

Your responsibilities will include:
Inside sales via telephone/email of catalog and custom optical components
Development of new products for our catalog
Design of manufacturing processes for custom components
Discussions with suppliers of sub-components, raw materials, etc.
Support to manufacturing as required during fabrication
Test and measurement during fabrication, including operation of fluid jet polishing systems
Opportunities to be involved in sales/design/fabrication of turnkey instruments.
Occasionally, some travel may be required to visit customers or attend industry events.



Comfortable communicating with new people in person/by telephone/email.  
The ability to interact with people in a positive and constructive manner.
Undergraduate or higher degree in field related to optics (physics, math, engineering, etc)  
Demonstrated ability to multitask
Detail oriented
Fluent in English written and spoken.
Legally eligible to work in Canada

Nice to have

Industry experience
Able to plan complex projects
Experience with thin film design, or optical system design 
Mechanical design experience (2D or 3D), AutoCAD/Solidworks or equivalent
High level programming ability (e.g. LabVIEW, Matlab, C#)
