Quality Assurance Inspector
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to perform incoming inspection of supplied parts and components. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying that all received materials meet engineering specifications, dimensional requirements, and quality standards before they are accepted into inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of incoming parts and components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Use precision measurement tools and inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate inspection records
- Identify and report non-conforming materials
- Interface with suppliers and internal teams regarding quality issues
- Support continuous improvement of inspection processes and procedures
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- 2+ years experience in quality control or inspection role
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, quality management software)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in technical field
- Experience with quality management systems
- Knowledge of industry standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.)
- Experience with statistical process control
- Background in manufacturing or related industry
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Extended periods of standing
- Close visual inspection work
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts
