A tunable Fabry Perot etalon uses piezo electric cylinders to adjust the size of the air gap and sweep the peaks of the etalon.

A very large 80mm aperture, piezo tunable Fabry Perot etalon with end plates matched to lambda / 110 (about 6nm) over the entire aperture.

A giant 60mm aperture piezo tunable Fizeau interferometer. End plates are matched to lambda/100 over the full aperture. This instrument uses the same method of 3 piezo stacks to allow the end mirror to be trimmed for perfect alignment and then the FSR can tuned or scanned through 9um's of movement.

Hydra - Multi-Piezo Driver

Part Number: OP-8843
Details: The Hydra driver is designed to control 3 piezo elements to adjust the tilt and scan large tunable air spaced etalons. The OP-8843 uses closed loop feedback from strain gauges that are attached to the piezo elements. The OP-8843-2 uses closed loop feedback from capacitors that are integrated into the design of the tunable etalon. Windows based user interface software is included with the Hydra or it can controlled directly via the USB.
